Explore the thrills of hiking Mayo’s stunning unspoilt landscape with our expert hike leaders.

Beginner
The walk is 11km with 250m ascent, with some stunning views of Mayo.

The walk is 10.5km with 785 ascent, some tricky terrain but well worth the effort.

• Bus transfers & guided hike with experienced mountain leader

Festival Programme:
Saturday:
From 7am Buses depart from The Castlecourt Hotel to take you to your hike.
4-7 hours Embark on a 4-7 hour hike through Mayo’s unmatched landscape, guided by qualified and accredited mountain leaders.
2.30pm – 3.30 pm Warm up with a welcome back hot port & hot whiskey reception at the Castlecourt Hotel.
4pm – 8pm Enjoy free time to explore the charming town of Westport. Whether you want to shop, relax at the Leisure Centre or treat yourself to a spa treatment, the choice is yours.
8pm Cap off the day with a delicious 4-course meal alongside your fellow hikers, followed by live entertainment!
Sunday:
Why not escape to Spa Sula or Spa Veda before you return home.

We newbies and those who fancy a bit of a challenge and a great few days out in the most beautiful part of the West of Ireland!

Beginners - Keenagh Loop This trail at the edge of the Nephin wilderness gives you a real taste of isolation with beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes. Walking under Birreencorragh, part of the Nephin mountain range, you will enjoy walking by bog, rivers, farmland and the odd fairy tree.
